Hey, read the title if you are all confused.
As some of you may have heard, (but probably not) Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan died on December 28th of 2009. 
He was the drummer in the amazing band Avenged Sevenfold, and was probably the best drummer ever to live. He was my idol… :cry: I have made sure that ever since Monday of last week, “R.I.P. Rev” has been written on my hands, in honor of him. I have also been playing badminton in his honor with my friend. Long live The Rev, in the hearts, souls, and minds of us all. Rest in peace. Your fans will remember you…
Haha i haven’t updated for a while…LoL. ^^‘ sorry ppl. (if any1 even comes here lol) not much has happened lately…so i really haven’t had a reason to update. instead i was staying up til 2 am taking random and useless quizzes while listening to music! XD Quizzes are fun. LoL. So who here is excited for Poke’mon HeartGold and SoulSilver coming out in March?

I thought you should know about the true history behind Halloween…
Halloween’s origins go all the way back to Ancient times with the Celtic festival of Samhain. This was the Celt’s version of a New Years Eve celebration honoring the end of summer and harvest time, and marking a period of cold, darkness, and death of winter. Celts believed that this end of the year time marked the time in which the barrier between the living and the dead became thin. On October 31st the spirits would come back from the dead and create havoc by damaging the crops with frost and causing a multitude of other troubles.
The Roman church soon enacted a holiday to detour the worship of spirits, and so proclaimed November 1st as All Saints Day to honor the saints and martyrs of the church. This day was also known as All Hallows Eve. As the two religions began to mix much of the traditions of Samhain, such as dressing up in costumes and dancing around the fire, became one with All Hallows Eve to create Halloween.
Tradition has always been a part of Halloween from its very start. Its no wonder then that many of our traditions today came from this time period. An example of these traditions would be bobbing for apples. When Roman tradition mixed with Celtic tradition, so did their festivals. One festival near the time of Samhain was a day to honor the goddess of fruit trees, Pamona. Pamona is quite often symbolized as an apple, hence the modern day practice of bobbing for apples.
Trick or Treating is also a tradition of Halloween with early starts. Trick or Treating came from All Souls Day parades in early England. The poor citizens of England would line up on the sides of the street as the richer members of the community paraded by and threw them pastries called soul cakes. The starving citizens would accept these cakes in exchange for praying for the richer classs dead family members.
Another tradition of Halloween is dressing up in costumes. This is another tradition that started in early England where citizens, knowing that Hallows Eve was a time for the spirits of their ancestors to come back and taunt them, would dress up in masks and costumes to keep the spirits from recognizing them.
P.S. Did you know the celtics used real human skulls instead of pumpkins? That is where we got the idea for the Jack-o-Lantern. And I’m going dressed as a masquarade jester, got the most beautiful mask for my costume! <3

Ok, so i logged in a couple minutes ago to comment, and i saw the blog stats…lately, i’ve only gotten 3 or so views a day. but somehow, 2day i already have 22!!! Lizz I called you at like 8: 30 pm but you didn’t answer. I miss you, I’m so bored at my dad’s house. Ya so now all tonight will be is another lonely one watching my Invader ZIM DVD’s…alone. I think I’m at least getting paid to watch my brother, his friend and my sister. Hopefully. Anyways have a happy National Talk Like a Pirate Day, it only comes once a year. Oh? What, that pirate thing? I’m serious you know, look it up if you doubt me…nonbelievers.
